Pacific International Lines is a shipping company incorporated in Singapore in 1967. The founder of PIL is the Chinese entrepreneur Chang Yun Chung.
Incorporated since 1967, Pacific International Lines has developed from a coastal ship-owner/operator in Singapore, into one of the largest ship-owners in Southeast Asia with a focus on Asia-Africa and the Middle East. Today, PIL is ranked 10th amongst the top containership operators in the world, offering container liner services and multi-purpose services at over 500 locations in 100 countries worldwide, employs about 18,000 employees worldwide.

Feeder services covering a comprehensive range of ports in:
South East Asia,
the Bay of Bengal,
the East Coast of India,
East and West African Coast and the Pacific Islands.
PIL currently also offers a direct link for project and break bulk shipment through its Multi Purpose Service from the Far East to Africa and Asia.

PIL has diversified into logistics related activities such as supply chain management, consolidation/distribution facilities, warehousing, multi-modal services, container depot/terminal operations as well as having interest in ship-agencies worldwide, container manufacturing/repairs, ship recycling, marine services and real estate. Through Singamas, PIL has invested in 11 container-manufacturing facilities in China. PIL’s other depots are located in Singapore, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Egypt and Tanzania. In 2009, Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Marine Services Co Ltd (DSIMS) was established with PIL as a founding partner and in 2011, DSIMS expanded to include Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Ship Recycling Co Ltd (DSISR).

PIL Group owns or operates a fleet of 149 modern vessels with a total capacity of 457,373 TEUs. As part of PIL new building programme, PIL Group expects the delivery of 2 new container vessels between January to March 2019.
