Saigon Walk: Phu My Hung/International School, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam [4K]

Since Phu My Hung is a popular residential area for expats living in Ho Chi Minh City, there are various choices of International Schools for foreign students.

The Canadian International School is located at the peaceful South-end of the Phu My Hung area. Newly built in 2014, all the school facilities including swimming pools and playgrounds are clean and modern.
It is well-known and it follows the school systems of Province of Ontario, Canada (certified by the government). The school runs curriculums from kindergarten to the secondary school. For students who want an advanced level of study, it is possible to participate in AP (Advanced Placement) programs and IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma programs.

If you are interested in teaching your kids with Montessori education, there is the Tiny Flower Montessori School, right next to the Canadian School. Unfortunately, this place is only for kids in kindergarten age. Another Montessori school in District 2 accepts children at the ages of 0~9.

Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese International schools are neighbors to each other. Because the schools follows their own nation’s education system, it is usually chosen by those who have future plans in those countries. They focus on helping students establish their identities in a foreign country.

The oldest international school in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon South International School is one of the most popular international schools in the city. Parents of the SSIS students will be satisfied to find all kinds of facilities (anything you could expect from a schools) and only teachers with higher education degrees. Even several psychology cousellors support the students with problems that students face in school.
The school runs curriculums from early childhood to high school, certified by Western Association of Schools and Colleges (of the US) and the College Board of USA. Of course, AP program and IB Diploma program are also available. This school is also known for the high scores in the IB program it achieved (highest average in the city).

Lawrence S. Ting school is NOT an international school, but a private high school (secondary school) for only Vietnamese. The interesting thing is that the school is chosen as the first Microsoft Innovative School in Vietnam. The quality of education of the school is high enough to be one of the top schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Except those mentioned above or shown in the video, there are more schools, such as the ABC, the Australian, the British, the Singapore, or the Renaissance International School in District 7 or nearby.
